Clinical Breast Ultrasound Scan

Clinical breast ultrasound scan is often used to assist bedside breast physical examination. It is a non-invasive procedure that allows the doctor to see the tissues and structures of the breasts and axillary regions, and to determine if there are any abnormal lesions or shadows in the breasts. Breast ultrasound scan is also used to guide insertion of the needle for procedures such as fine needle aspiration (FNA) or core needle biopsy to allow precise placement of the needle.
